Stamping is a method of forming the workpiece (stamping part) of the required shape and size by applying external forces on the sheet, strip, pipe and profile by the press and die to produce plastic deformation or separation. Compared with castings and forgings, stamping parts are characterized by being thin, uniform, light and strong. Stamping can produce workpieces with reinforcing ribs, ribs, undulation or flanging that are difficult to be produced by other methods to increase their rigidity.
